| Duties and Responsibilities |
|
Provide both strategic and day to day technical expertise and support for assigned national account. Develop strong technical relationships at the highest levels within the account(s). Work with Account Executive to identify, qualify, and develop opportunities within the account. Develop technical expertise within the account by delivering leading edge technical presentations and training. Provide timely feedback to managers to help drive customer-focused solutions. Drive technical leadership and innovative networking solutions in strategic opportunities. Meet sales and business objectives. Act as the primary technical support for Beta sites. Contribute to the development of account plans with the national sales team and leverage the account plans to further achieve business and revenue objectives. Act as the single face to the customer on all technical issues. Focus on customer driven solutions.. |

This position requires strong communication and presentation skills, business development acumen, a well-developed technical aptitude, the ability to work successfully as part of a team, and a strong industry background. The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with the sales team, partners and end user customers at all levels. He/she must demonstrate exceptional initiative and creativity in the development of technical solutions for complex situations. The candidate must possess the ability to clearly and concisely present complex ideas and solution concepts to the customer's sales and technical staff. |
| Qualifications and Education |

|
4 years experience. Network Consultant or System Engineer experience in a field sales organization. Experience supporting and working with large telecommunications accounts. A complete understanding of data communications concepts of network architecture and their role in designing and implementing distributed processing. Extensive knowledge of Ethernet, Token Ring, Fiber Optics, SNA, frame relay and other prevalent communication protocols. Internetworking experience a must. Willing to travel.
BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Science (BSCS) or equivalent course work in data communications or comparable/equivalent experience in a technical training discipline. |
